On a late August weekend, CNIB Lake Joe hosted its most successful “Cookout with Cuddy” to date. The event, which raised more than $420,000 in support of the blind and partially sighted community, drew attendees from across Canada. Highlights included hot-air balloon rides, performances by the Jim Cuddy Trio and a silent auction featuring tickets to Taylor Swift, Usher, Arkells concerts and major sporting events. Notable guests included retired Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendel Clark and HGTV’s Brian McCourt.
